The Omnitrix transforms you into an alien. Find or craft the watch, then right-click it once to equip it. Your first forms are Heatblast, Four Arms and XLR8.
Find the watch
Search for a crash site and break its pod to get the watch. Or use the Omnitrix Crafter: make Legendary Casing from Legendary ingots and iron, and a Black Diamond Lens from glass and Black Diamond. Combine both with Omnitrix ingots for an Omnitrix Core, then craft the watch from the core, leather and iron nuggets.
The current placed-feature data attempts a crash site once per 300 chunks.
Crash sites are placed in forests, plains and sunflower plains, taigas, and savannas. Break the Omnitrix Pod to collect the watch.
The reliable route is the Omnitrix Crafter chain: Legendary Casing and Black Diamond Lens make an Omnitrix Core, then leather and iron nuggets finish the watch.

Equip and open the dial
Right-click the watch once to bind it permanently. Press G or right-click air with an empty hand to open the dial. Turn the wheel and select a form. Press H to revert to human, or V to use your alien's active power.

Use the mouse wheel or left and right arrow keys to turn the dial. Click the form or press Enter to transform. While transformed, V uses the active power and H returns you to human form.

Omnitrix Field Guide is given when you first join. You can also craft it with a book and lime dye using the book and lime dye recipe.
The book's chapters cover the crash site, controls, alien DNA, timeout and recharge, armour, bosses, the Null Void and Master Control.
